Dear Parents, school is out & the Summer is definitely here!!
As hot as it is, at some point during the Summer you will find yourself sorting out your child’s school uniform, bags & stationery in order to see what they need for the following year. As they are constantly growing you may find that certain items need to be replaced for a bigger size, even though the items they had this year still have plenty of wear in them.
As a parent nothing is more important than the welfare of our children but instinctively it is natural to care about the welfare of any child and to ask what we can do to help, so here is something very simple you can do…
Pass on any unwanted School clothing to the Caritas School Uniform appeal. Pass on any unwanted school bags, pencil cases or Stationary to the drop off points mentioned below.
If this is not convenient just give one of the numbers a call and someone will arrange to collect if needed.
I really dislike to throw away perfectly good clothes so have always found a way to pass them on to someone that I felt would be blessed by them. Some families have to endure under difficult circumstances and the thought of making sure that their child is dressed neatly for School and has everything needed such as a school bag & stationary can be extremely stressful and sometimes impossible financially.
All sizes of the following items needed:
Plain white t-shirts or Polo Shirts. White Shirts
Grey skirts or trousers. Grey tracksuits. Grey shorts
Black trousers for teens. Black shoes
School bags. Pencil cases and contents
So if you have an old school bag that is still in good condition and perhaps just needs a bit of TLC, or can help with any of the other items required, please bless another child by dropping it off at one of the following Drop Off Points:
Catholic Presbytery & St Michaels Hospice shop by St Pauls Church, Kato Paphos. Calvary Chapel, 36 Griva Digheni Paphos (Wednesday & Sunday mornings). Paphos Post Newspaper Office, Coastal Road Kissonerga. Euromania, Yeroskipou. TLC School, St Georges Road Peyia. Aspire School, Tomb of the Kings.

*If you know any children that may benefit from this please let me know
Last year Aspire Private British School collected almost 40 bags by carrying out their own initiative to support this appeal. This year both Aspire and TLC Private School and Institute will be supporting the project and collecting bags for us.
