Anastasia Maximova & Papageorgio string quartet together will perform legendary melodies from Rock, Pop and Classical repertoire fused together and performed in awesome way.
With great success they have performed in the theatres of Nicosia, Larnaca and Tala during spring/summer 2019. On 28 November 2019 they are coming to Paphos to perform in Markideio Theatre in front of the best Cyprus audience.
Anastasia Maximova (mezzo-soprano) is one of the most vivid and unique phenomena in the world of contemporary music. Opera singer, graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, she has an unearthly beauty and strength in her voice – the dark coloured soprano. A rare gift to unite the unconnected is almost the main feature of the work of this mature and multi-faceted artist, which now is Anastasia Maximova. Anastasia has performed in concerts all over Russia and in European countries: Italy, France, England, Greece, Estonia, Cyprus.
As probably the only ensemble of its kind in Cyprus, ‘PAPAGEORGIO STRING QUARTET’ with both Greek and Turkish Cypriot musicians tries to connect audience by using diversity of interpretation for various musical style and genres from different music backgrounds (Classical to Jazz, Latin to Rock, Film Music to Pop etc.) composed exclusively for Papageorgio String Quartet and meant to present the songs with their original structure and harmony providing in the same time the rich colours of a String Quartet. Winners of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou award 2017, the members of the Quartet were trained and have cultivated independent careers in the
Classical and Modern music spheres.
