The Makarios hospital and the Thalassemia Centre in Nicosia and the general hospitals in Larnaca, Famagusta and Polis Chrysochous, have all benefited.
The monitors measure pulse oximetry and blood pressure in a non-invasive way, temperature, EtCo2 (the amount of carbon dioxide in the exhaled air), and respiration levels.
The ceremony took place at the health ministry and the Minister of Health Constantinos Ioannou and representatives of the health services were present.
Ioannou thanked non- profit ‘Cans for Kids’, for its generous contribution and long-standing support for public hospitals, which is reflected in almost €300,000 spent over the past 30 years in medical equipment donated.
Rosie Charalambous, the Cans for Kids president said they decided to spread out the donations, “to help patients receive the treatment they need where they live, without having to go to Nicosia.”
