What a sight to behold, Royal Caribbean’s, Wonder of the Seas Cruise Liner was docked at Limassol recently, as it prepared to kick off its maiden season.
It will initially take passengers from the US to the Caribbean before returning to Europe for its western Mediterranean itinerary. With a choice of 3, 7 and 14 night cruises to some of the most glorious destinations including Rome, Florence, Marseille and Barcelona.
This is welcome news to the tourist industry, bringing in a boost the economy as Royal Caribbean confirms that they will continue to call Limassol home for next couple of years.
At a weighty 236,857 tonnes, this 362 metre long, the Wonder of the Seas is the worlds largest cruise ship. It can accommodate a maximum capacity of 6,988 guests with a staggering 2300 person crew.
This is great news for Cyprus and will bring a new influx of visitors to the island looking for some Cypriot hospitality.
