MANDRIA FEST – A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY – SUNDAY 15TH MAY 2022 13.00 ONWARDS
After 2 years with no live music in Mandria the day is almost upon us, Mandria FEST: the Mandria Music Festival.
We welcome everyone to come to Mandria for a wonderful day full of live non-stop music from 1pm, performed by local talented bands and artists who are giving their time free of charge for a wonderful charity.
The charity: The Dancing Queen Foundation, this charity was founded by friends and family in 2009 as a loving tribute to the late Dr.Yiota Demetriou who’s ambition to help children in the field of psychology was cut short due to tragic car accident caused by a drunk driver in New York in November 2008, this non profit organisation is dedicated to improve the wellness in children and teenagers by helping them with their psychological problems.
This event would have never taken place if it wasn’t for so many lovely people who have come forward to help and sponsor the Mandria Fest, in no particular order they are: The Mayor, Demitra, and Mandria Council; Evrima local shop; Kilimataria local taverna; Kentroikon local taverna; Mandria fish and chips; The Island Angel ladies – Sarah-Jane Linley, Julie Price; and The Sunset Sound – Ian Cole, Maciej Kielac, Julian Nicholas Locke; all the bands and artists (please see our website for a full line-up: https://mandriafest.com/line-up/); PamJones Walbrook and Quartermaster Mr. Baz Mitchel, British Forces Cyprus for supplying the stage for the day.
Thank you to all the volunteers for the behind the scenes work helping run the day. Last but not least your good selves for purchasing your tickets in the form of wristbands for the days entry which is 5 Euros. Without your attendance the whole day would be a waste of time, so please come to support the Charity and the bands & artists.
Tickets can be purchased on the Mandria Fest Website mandriafest or at the gates on the day.
If the past two Mandria FESTs are to go by, this will be a wonderful day with music for everyone.
LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL THERE.
