The government announced the latest move to combat the spread of coronavirus with an easing of measures from February 1.
“De-escalation will be very slow, coordinated and controlled,” health minister Constantinos Ioannou, said.
Hair and beauty salons were allowed to reopen as of February 1.
Retail stores, shopping malls and elementary schools may reopen from February 8.
Students in their final year of high school will return to face to face learning as of February 8.
Capacity at a place of public worship must not exceed 50 people. As of February 8, people are allowed a maximum of 4 visitors in their homes at a time
The twice-a-day movement remains in force and permission must be requested by sending a text message to 8998. Hair and beauty salons add the number 9.
Up to 50 percent of employees will be able to return to the workplace provided they are regularly tested.
The night-time curfew between 9pm to 5am remains in place as does a ban on restaurants and bars apart from deliveries and takeout.
